PRIORITIES
On the 10th December 2009 Trowbridge Rural Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) held its latest Tasking Group Meeting. Local issues were discussed and the following three priorities were identified:
CRIMINAL DAMAGE - PAXCROFT MEAD Since the end of September, there have been in excess of twenty vehicles damaged, in the south of Paxcroft Mead. This issue has been designated as a sector priority, the area benefiting from numerous high visibility patrols from both the neighbourhood and response policing teams. Extensive house to house enquiries have been completed and intelligence is being collated at a divisional level.
SPEEDING - VILLAGES
The parish councillors of Southwick, North Bradley, West Ashton and Hilperton have all raised concerns about speeding in their villages. It is hoped that a police led focussed plan of action will improve the situation. Liaison will be made with other local agencies and community speedwatch will be investigated. The area will benefit from increased patrols and enforcement.
Burglary - Dunkirk Business Park
Dunkirk Business Park is a small industrial estate on the outskirts of Southwick. There have been three burglaries in the past month as well as other incidents of criminal damage and anti–social behaviour. High visibility patrols will be increased at the location and surveillance is being considered.
